FAQs about appointments and booking
-
Sessions offer a safe, confidential and non-judgmental space to talk. Anything that you say is held in strict professional confidence. Confidentiality will only be broken if your clinican become concerned about the safety of yourself or someone else, in this instance we have a duty of care to break confidentiality in order to seek support in order to ensure safety. In the unlikely event that this needs to take place then your clinician would always endeavour to do this with your full involvement.
Additionally in order to provide you with the best care clinicians engage in regular supervision which means that they may discuss your case anonymously with a supervising clinician who is also bound by the rules of confidentiality.

Although your employer funds your sessions, access and content sessions remain entirely confidential. Your employer will not be informed about which members of the team access support or any information about your experiences or difficulties.
Some annonymised information is fed back to the senior leadership team for practical reasons these are as follows. In order to invoice, the number of sessions used and missed are documented. If themes are noted across a company these broad themes may be fed back in order to support culture change (for example if many individuals share that there is pressure to work beyond hours we might share this with the senior leadership team to highlight a potential area of difficulty and support them to consider ways of supporting. If you have any concerns about info sharing you are always welcome to clarify this with your clinican and are never under any pressure to share information that you are not comfortable with.
If you wish to share with your employer that you are receiving support you are of course totally welcome to do this. If you request would like us to support you in any conversations or approaches with your employer we would be happy to do this but we would only ever become involved or share your information with your express permission.
As above (see confidentiality), in the unlikely event that we felt that you or someone you worked with was at imminent risk and a breach of confidentiality was required to seek support or maintain safety this would take place with the same caveats as above.

Yes absolutely!
We know that everyone is an individual and naturally you may gel better with some people than others, that’s totally human and we want to make sure you are matched with someone you feel meets your individual needs. We acknowledge that historically Clinical Psychology has been a homogeneous group in terms of demographics and we are currently in the process of taking on new clinicians in order to better represent the populations we support.
For each company we have a clinician who oversees the company and its provision. If you are having an intro session when first joining the company then you will be directed to speak to this clinician in the first instance to find out about the service but from there you are welcome to choose the clinician that you feel is right for you.

We understand that life is busy and things crop up, it is absolutely fine to change the time of your appointment and you can do this via the online booking system or by contacting your clinician directly. We do ask that you try to do this at least 48hrs prior to your scheduled appointment so that this session can be used by someone else.
Do you have a question that we haven’t answered above?
